First Team, the fourth All-Valley honor of her career...started all 48 games in left field,
placing fourth on the team with a .315 average and 24 RBI...slugged six home runs, the
third-most on the squad...set a single-season ISU record with 42 walks, leading the MVC and
ranking top-10 nationally...finishes her career with 206 hits, the fourth-most in
program-history...also leaves top five all-time in runs scored (second with 150), walks
(fourth with 84), stolen bases (fourth with 42), home runs (fifth with 28) and RBI (fifth
with 117)...put together a team-best 23-game on base streak from March 9-April 25...went
2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs in 8-0 win at No. 22 Baylor (Feb. 8)...named to
Getterman Classic All-Tournament Team after hitting .286 and posting a .500 on-base

first home run of the season, a three-run shot, in the win over UIC (Feb 17)...tied a
season-high with 3 RBI vs. No. 15 Michigan, going 3-for-5 with a run...led off the game vs.
No. 12 Louisiana-Lafayette with a home run, her second of the season...set a career-high
with three walks and tied a career-high with three runs in the win over LIU Brooklyn (March
1)...went a combined 4-for-9 with five runs scored in back-to-back games vs. Austin Peay
(March 9) and Miami (Ohio) (March 10)...has scored at least one run in 10 of the last 11
games...raised her batting average from .264 to .299 by going 6-for-10 in the Missouri
State series (April 6-7)...crushed a two-run homer that broke a 1-1 tie in ISU's game two
win over Bradley (April 11)...hit a three-run homer in the win at DePaul (April 9)...became
the fifth player in ISU history to reach the 200-hit mark with a game-winning two-run blast
at Wichita State (April 21)...hit a solo home run, her second in as many games, to lead off
the contest at Indiana State (April 25).
2012: National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Mideast Region
First Team selection...All-Missouri Valley Conference Second Team honoree...started all 60
games and posted a .304 batting average...led the team with 12 home runs, 37 RBI, 37 runs
scored and a .562 slugging percentage...finished second on the team with 11 stolen bases in
as many attempts...opened the season going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a home run vs. Maine
(Feb. 10)...finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored, two doubles and an RBI vs. Boston
(Feb. 24)...went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and a double to lead the Redbirds in a win over
nationally-ranked Baylor (Mar. 3)...finished 4-for-8 with five RBI, including her second
grand slam of the season in a doubleheader at Missouri State (Mar. 16)...posted her third
four-RBI game by going 2-for-4 with a homer and a run scored in the State Farm MVC Softball
Championship title game at Southern Illinois (May 12)...hit eight of her 12 homers and
drove in 20 of her 37 runs in conference play.
2011: Named All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team, after leading
the league with a .462 batting average and an .800 slugging percentage in MVC
contests...earned Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Mideast Region Second Team
accolades...finished second on the team with a .359 batting average and .602 slugging
percentage and third on the squad with 31 RBI, eight homers and four stolen bases...tallied
multiple hits in 14 games, with seven coming in a span of eight games...finished 7-for-8
with three RBI and two home runs in the series vs. Missouri State (Apr. 2-3)...went 3-for-3
and drove in three runs, including the game-winner at Creighton (May 7)...was a perfect
3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI in the season finale in the NCAA Tournament at Missouri
(May 21).
2010: Named to the 2010 All-MVC Second Team ... started and played in
51 of Illinois State's 52 games ... finished the season with a.320 batting average after
169 at bats ... recorded 54 hits and crossed home plate 39 times, which was the second most
on the team ... hit six doubles and two home runs ... led the Redbirds in triples with four
... had a slugging percentage of .438 and drove in 25 Redbird runs ... stole nine bases,
which was the most of any Redbird ... tallied 47 putouts and two assists.
Joilet West: Played summer softball for the Stone City Sharks ... a
three-sport athlete who competed in softball, basketball and cross country ... a two-time
all-conference honoree and named first-team all-area as a junior and senior ... was team
captain her senior season, a year in which she batted .425 with 13 stolen bases ... her
summer softball team, the Stone City Sharks, finished second at the North America Fastpitch
Association (NAFA) National Championship in 2008 ... first name pronounced "Ja-VON."
