Indoor: ran a personal-best 3,000-meter run at the GVSU Big Meet with a time of 8:22.30 placing third overall in a field of 21…posted a time of 4:15.90 and placed fifth overall at the Missouri Valley Conference...placed first in the 3000m at the Prairie Wolf Indoor Invite with a time of 8:28.56…posted his season-best mile run at the Meyo Invite with a time of 4:09.13. 

Outdoor: Started off the season with a first-place victory in the 1,500-meter run at the EIU Big Blue Classic with a time of 3:59.96...posted his career-best 1,500 at the Redbird Invite at a time of 3:51.18 and placed fourth overall...placed fifth in the 1,500 at the 37th Annual Sun Angel Classic...scored points for the Redbirds at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships as he placed sixth in the 1,500-meter run...posted his career-best 800-meter run at the Illinois Twilight with a time of 1:53.49...ran his fastest 5,000-meter run at the MVC Championships at a time of 15:17.39.

2014-15

Indoor: Captured his personal-best mile at the Indiana Relays with a clocked time of 4:09.04…at Terre Haute earned second place with a time of 4:15.49…clocked a 4:11.41 at the GVSU Big Meet…at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships earned ninth place with a time of 4:16.88…competed in the 800-meter dash… earned a time of 1:54.87 at the Meyo Invitational…at the Indiana Relay earned second place in the 4 x 800 meter with a time of 7:37.25…competed in distance medley relay at the Meyo Invitational with a time of 10:00.97 placing fourth overall. 

Outdoor: Earned a personal-best performances at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships in the 1,500-meter with a time of 3:52.81 to place ninth overall…competed in the 800-meter at the Redbird Invite and earned a time of 1:55.14 where he placed fourth…at the Big Blue Classic competed in the 1,500-meter and captured a time of 3:54.98…also at the Illinois Twilight placed fourth with a clocked time of 3:54.46…participated in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the Redbird where the team clocked a time of 3:24.69…at the Drake Relays he competed in the 4 x 1,600 meter where the team captured a time of 17:08.02…also at the Drake Relays competed in the 1,600 sprint medley relay and clocked a time of 3:25.76. 

2013-14

Indoor: Opened up the season with a mile time of 4:19.82, followed that performance with a personal-best time of 4:14.64 at the Notre Dame Invitational … also ran a personal-best 800-meter time of 1:54.39 at Notre Dame to finish seventh overall … nearly passed his personal-best 800m time, clocking 1:54.70 at the Meyo Invitational … helped capture a second-place finish as a part of the DMR, earning All-Valley honors with a time of 10:04.00 … notched a season-best time as a part of the DMR at Iowa State with 10:01.10.

Outdoor: Opened the season with a personal-best 800-meter time of 1:55.18 at the Big Blue Invite … followed that performance with a 800m time of 1:57.21 at Ohio State’s Jesse Owens Classic … posted a 1,500m time of 3:56.62 at the Sea Ray Relays to finish 14th in a field of 41 … followed that performance with a personal-best 1,500m time of 3:54.03 at the Jesse Owens Classic … ran 3:59.91 at the MVC Championships to place 12th. 

2012-13

Indoor: Opened up his season with a personal-best time of 4:21.96 to finish fifth at the Indiana State Dual...Captured a time of 2:37.71 in the 1,000-meter race to finish second at the Biolermaker Invitational...Placed fifth with a time of 10:22.94, as a part of the distance medley relay at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships.

Outdoor: Opened up the season with a third-place finish in the 800-meter race, coupled with a second-place finish in the 1,500-meter at the SIUE Cougar Invitational...Notched a 9:52.14 in the Steeplechase to finish third at the Benedictine Twilight...Picked up a first-place finish as a part of the 4X400-meter relay team at the Benedictine Twilight.

PRIOR TO ISU

Wheaton North High School: Four-year letterwinner in track and cross country ... three-time all-conference runner ... three-time state qualifier ... ran a 15:18.00 at the 2011 Illinois High School Athletic Association Class AAA State Cross Country Championships in the three-mile race ... holds a personal-best three-mile time of 15:04.00 ... holds personal-best times of 1:56.3, 4:15.98 and 9:28.7 in the 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs, respectively ... named to the academic all-conference team.

Personal: Born 7/17/1994 ... son of Peter and Nancy Askin ... siblings are Kilty and Finn ... uncle, David Askin, is a four-time marathon winner ... plans to major in exercise science.
