Played in 29 games during the season, starting seven times • Averaged 4.9 points per game, while making 46-of-120 shots from the field and 35-of-100 from long range • Also pulled down 69 rebounds (2.4 per game) while dishing out 13 assists, blocking six shots, and grabbing five steals • Scored in double-figures six times during the season, the first coming in his collegiate debut against Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 11 where he scored 14 points and made 4-of-7 from beyond the arc • Scored his career-high of 20 points at BYU on Dec. 6, making 7-of-10 shots from the field and 5-of-8 from long range • Narrowly missed a double-double on Nov. 22 against Quincy with 10 points and a career-high nine rebounds • Dished out a season-high three assists on Jan. 7 against Missouri State • Started his career by making his first 11 free throw tries, before his first miss came in overtime against Indiana State on Dec. 31

Prior to Illinois State

Averaged 33.4 points and 11.5 rebounds per game as a senior at Illini Bluffs in 2016-17 • Shot 60.4 percent from the field, 41.1 percent from 3-point range and 88.2 percent at the free throw line • Named to the IHSA Class 2A first team all-state team by the Associated Press and the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association • Garnered 2017 Peoria Journal Star Small-School Boys Basketball Player of the Year recognition and finished fifth in Illinois Mr. Basketball voting • Was the only IHSA Class 1A or 2A player to place in the top 15 • Finished his career as the leading scorer and rebounder in Illini Bluffs history • As a senior, helped Illini Bluffs advance to the IHSA PORTA Regional championship game and qualified for the IHSA Three-Point Showdown and the Canton Kiwanis All-Star game, where he scored 31 points and was named the game's most valuable player • As a junior, averaged 25 points per game for Illini Bluffs • Also earned all-state baseball honors as a pitcher.

His great uncle, Duane Bruninga, ranks 47th on the Illinois State men's basketball scoring list with 979 points after playing in 96 games at ISU during his four-year career (1963-67).
