2020-21 SPRING (R-Sr.): Crossed the finish line second for the Redbirds and third overall with a time of 25:04.8 at the MVC Cross Country Championships, earning his first All-MVC honors and helping lead Illinois State to their first MVC team title since 2002.

2019 (Sr.): Utilized redshirt season.

2018 (Jr.): Competed in five races during his junior year as a Redbird, including the MVC Championship and NCAA Midwest Regional…earned All-Conference Honorable Mention accolades at the Valley Championship, placing 14th with a personal-best 8K time of 25:00.30…was the fifth Redbird to cross the finish line at the NCAA Midwest regional, placing 77th with a 10K personal-record of 32:32.90…captured highest finish of the season at the Hawkeye Invitational, leading the team and placing 15th overall with a 6K personal-best of 18:59.10.

2017 (So.): Competed in five races for the Redbirds during sophomore campaign, including the MVC Championships...recorded personal-best in the 8K (26:02.01) at the Greater Louisville Classic...posted personal-record in the 6K (19:28.20) at the Hawkeye Invitational...captured highest finish of the season at the ISU Invite, placing 37th.

2016 (Fr.): Competed in five meets as a true freshman...started his season off running his personal-best 6K with a time of 19:33 at the Hawkeye Invitational...he ran his personal-best 8K at the ISU Invite as he posted a time of 26:46...his highest finish came at the Illini Classic where he finished 24th with a 8K time at 26:50.

OAK PARK-RIVER FOREST HIGH SCHOOL: four-year letterwinner in cross country and track…three-time all-state honoree…broke the school record in the 4x400-meter relay and the 4x800-meter relay…two-time all-conference…three-time state finalist…team captain his senior year and MVP…team were conference and sectional champions his junior and senior year.

PERSONAL: Born 1/6/1998...son of Cedric and Sekile Nzinga-Johnson…siblings are Cabral and Zora…plans to major in history education.
