Junior Year (2020-21)

Competed in all five meets for the Redbirds … 2020-21 MVC Scholar-Athlete Team selection … Earned an All-MVC Honorable Mention nod with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a personal best time of 2:04.29 … Turned in five top-five finishes, while securing a win in the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.06) against Little Rock … Recorded a season-best time of 58.87 in the 100-yard backstroke versus UNI … Posted three season best times in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.19), 100-yard butterfly (56.17) and the 200-yard butterfly at the Valley Championships.

Sophomore Year (2019-20)

Competed in seven meets for the Redbirds … Battled to 12 top-10 finishes in her respective events … Opened the year with a season-best time of 1:01.38 in the 100-yard backstroke in a dual win over Butler … Posted a trio of season-best times at the Valley Championships in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.24), 100-yard butterfly (57.13) and 200-yard butterfly (2:06.50).

Freshman Year (2018-19)

Competed in three meets for the Redbirds, posting a season best time in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events with marks of 56.35 and 2:01.89, respectively … Notched season best times in three events at the 2019 MVC Championships, including the 100-yard fly (58.08), 200-yard fly (2:06.73) and 200-yard backstroke (2:05.19).

Background: A four-year member of the DeKalb High School swim team...A three-time state qualifier...Named MVP of DeKalb's swim team as a senior...Led DeKalb as the swim team captain as a junior and senior...Qualified for the short and long course YMCA Nationals all four years of high school.

Personal: Daughter of Scott and Andrea Hein...Born May 29...Has two siblings, Daniel and Ryan...Brother Daniel swam at the University of Missouri and dad Scott played football at Northern Illinois...Majoring in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Child Studies with career aspirations of becoming a Child Life Specialist.
