Did not compete for the Redbirds in 2020-21.

Sophomore Year (2019-20)

Competed in seven meets for the Redbirds … Turned in nine top-10 performances … Won the 500-yard freestyle (5:17.72) and 1000-yard freestyle (10:49.36) events in a dual meet victory over Butler to open the season … Posted a trio of season-best times in the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.36), 1000-yard freestyle (10:36.76) and 1650-yard freestyle (17:35.17) at the Purdue Invite … Turned in a season-best time of 1:08.24 in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Valley Championships.

Freshman Year (2018-19)

Boasted four season best times at Northwestern’s TYR Invitational in the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.01), 1000-yard freestyle (10:41.35), 50-yard breaststroke (31.13) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:30.84) events … Posted season best times in the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.27), 1650-yard freestyle (17:23.26) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.88) events at the 2019 MVC Championships.

Normal Community High School: State qualifier all four years of high school... Senior year placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay, third in the medley relay, and fourth overall... also holds 8 out of 11 school records. 

Personal: Born April 17, 2000, in Bloomington, Illinois... daughter of Mark and Karen Oostman... has three siblings, Sophia, Blake, and Lauren... her mother, Karen, also attended ISU... her father, Mark, played a collegiate level sport at Northern Illinois University... plans to major in community health promotion to someday become a nurse.
