2021 FALL (R-So.): Ran in four races in his redshirt sophomore campaign…Posted his highest finish of the season (17th) at the Illini Open (10/22)…Set an 8K personal best with a time of 26:38.6 in the men’s white race at the Bradley Classic (10/15)…Notched a top-100 (84th) performance at the Redbird Invite (9/17)…Was the fourth Redbird to cross the finish line at the Hawkeye Invitational (9/3), placing 44th overall with a 6K time of 19:53.3.

CHARLES EAST HIGH SCHOOL: Earned All-District honors in cross country at Mandeville HS (Louisiana)...Helped the 4x800m relay set the school record with a time of 7:46...Holds the conference record in the 800m...Crowned conference champion in the 800m as a senior, earning All-Conference honors...Named MVP in track & field as a senior...Earned All-Sectional and All-State honors as a senior in the 4x800m relay...Helped the 4x800m relay to a state runner-up finish.

PERSONAL: Born 4/25/2001...Son of James and Colette Murphy...Has one older sister, Olivia, and one younger brother Connor...Both parents ran cross country and track & field at Indiana University...Plans to major in Business...Earned All-Academic conference honors in 2017 for cross country.
