Nestled inside Horton Field House, just 100 yards from CEFCU Arena, is North Gym. The practice facility for Redbird volleyball and men's and women's basketball underwent a nearly $500,000 face-lift in recent years.

A new Rezil Channel Connor floor, which is considered the safest maple floor playing surface on the market, and new baskets were installed. The gym also received a fresh paint job to show off Redbird pride.

The court inside the North Gym at Horton Field House was officially named The Lynch Family Court in February 2025,  in conjunction with a significant investment into the men's basketball and women's basketball programs as part of the Lynch Family Fund agreement.
