INTERACTIVE SEAT MAP
What is the Redbird Arena Seating Enhancement Project?
The Redbird Arena Seating Enhancement is an upgrade to the current seating of the Redbird Arena lower bowl. The seats, which are original to the building, will be removed to allow for new seating to be installed in the arena. Included in the enhancement will be additional courtside seats, loge seating, wider aisles with handrails, larger seats and the transition to a numerical system for sections as opposed to letters.
Why are we doing a reseat?
The Seating Enhancement Project will affect each lower bowl section in Redbird Arena. The reseating process allows for the most fair and equitable process to assign season tickets and enables access to all seating areas using Weisbecker Scholarship Fund (WSF) priority and rank.
Will the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund Giving Levels change?
Yes, giving levels will change slightly. Please refer to your Weisbecker Scholarship Fund Renewal or the Redbird Arena Donor seating map for more detailed information regarding giving levels.
How will I select seats?
Every season ticket holder will be able to select their ticket location within the new seating configuration. Seat selections will be done primarily by phone. All seating options will be explained at the time of your appointment. You are welcome to select seats in-person at the Redbird Arena Ticket Office during your appointment time. Note, due to the construction you will not be able to walk-in and view seating locations.
Is it possible to select seats with my friends?
Yes. Season ticket holders wishing to sit with another account must fill out the Companion Form. You may request this form from the ticket office starting in January 2019. In order to sit with another account, Illinois State Athletics will average the priority point totals of the accounts on the Companion Form and assign those accounts the same seat selection appointment. On the Companion Form, your group must designate one representative as the ticket office contact. This individual will confirm the final seat locations on behalf of the collective group.Â

How will my appointment time be selected?
Seat selection time will be determined by your Weisbecker Scholarship Fund priority points and ranking as of the end of the business day on April 19, 2019.Â
How can I obtain additional priority points, or move up in my priority standing?
The quickest way to increase your Priority Points between now and the seat selection is to make a gift to the WSF by April 19, 2019. Priority points are accumulated over time and reflect both the generosity of giving and support of Illinois State Athletics through the purchase of season tickets. An account will earn one (1) point for every $100 given to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund, and one (1) point for every season ticket purchased (football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball). Your point total will be accurate and encompass all giving, tickets, and allocation methods over the lifetime of your account. A statement reflecting your point totals will be sent before the deadline in April.
When is the last day to donate to the WSF to increase my priority point total?
Gifts to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund made on or before April 19, 2019 will be used to determine seat selection appointment time.Â
When will the reseating process begin?
Reseating appointments will begin in early June 2019.
When will I know my appointment time?
Seat selection appointment times will be assigned and communicated to season ticket holders during the month of May 2019. All 2018-19 season ticket holders will be assigned a time to select seats. New season ticket requests must be received by April 19th in order to receive an appointment time based on your priority points and ranking.
Will I be able to see what seating options are available?
Yes, a map of the new configuration will be available at GoRedbirds.com/RBASE for you to use as a guide. An up-to-the-minute seating map will be provided prior to your appointment time. This real-time map will show exactly what seats are available. A link to this live map will be included with your appointment time email. Reminder, due to the construction, you will not be able to walk-in and view seating locations.
Will I be able to increase the number of season tickets during my appointment time?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to add a seat or two (max) during your reseating appointment. Account holders will not be able to add more than two tickets during their appointment.
Can I choose the same seats I have now?
Yes and no. If your current seats are available at the time of your selection, you may purchase them as in past years. All sections are being updated to a number system. Section, row and seat numbers will change. Please note, with the new seating configuration, certain areas and rows will no longer be available for public season tickets. The Athletics Ticket Office will give you every option available during your appointment. Our goal is to provide you the best possible seat according to your preferences.
When is payment due for my seats/donation? Â
A deposit of $50 per seat will be required at the seat selection. The remaining balance will be invoiced the day after your selection. Additionally, you will be required to submit your Weisbecker Scholarship Fund pledge at the time of your seat selection.
What happens if I am not available during my appointment time?
All season ticket holders are encouraged, if possible, to be available during their seat selection time. We feel this will be the best way for fans to get the best possible seating option.Â
If you know in advance you will not be available during your seat selection appointment time, there are a couple of options available:Â
1.   Prior to your appointment date, you may call the Athletic Ticket Office and discuss seating preferences with a Ticket Representative. The Ticket Representative will take notes on your preferences for seating and utilize those notes to assign a seat location for you based on the availability during your designated seat selection appointment time.Â
2.   You may select a representative to make the selection for you and represent you during your appointment time. This representative would be contacted and would select the seats on your behalf.
Can I purchase one of the old seats? Â
Yes, fans and alumni can purchase seats removed from the arena during the project. Seats will be sold as individuals, but fans are able to purchase more than one. Lower bowl seats will be sold for $150 each and the deadline to order is Friday, May 24. As part of the seating enhancement project, section signage will also be auctioned off at a later date with more information to come. To purchase, please contact the Redbird Sales team at 309-438-8000 ext. 2 or emailing Chris Highland, Assistant Director of Development & Ticket Sales at cphighl@ilstu.edu.
