MLB Draft: Cormier was selected 492nd overall in the 16th round by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2026 MLB Draft.

2026: Made 10 starts for the Redbirds, appearing in 16 games throughout the season… Gathered a 4-2 record with a 4.17 ERA… Notched a team-high 74 strikeouts across 69 innings of work… Recorded a 1.38 WHIP, allowing 83 hits and 12 walks… Led the team with two pickoffs on the season… Tossed 15 scoreless innings with 21 strikeouts over back-to-back starts against Murray State on April 18 and Bradley on April 25, including a career-high 13 strikeouts against the Racers… Threw a career-long eight innings against Bradley, earning the victory against the Braves 1-0… Named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team with a 3.75 GPA in Finance… Named to the All-MVC Honorable Mention team on May 19.
