Brad Jarreau joined the Illinois State baseball coaching staff in 2024, bringing with him a diverse and successful background across multiple levels of collegiate baseball. Specializing in hitting, outfield instruction, and recruiting, Jarreau plays a key role in the development of Redbird student-athletes and the overall growth of the program.
Before arriving in Normal, Jarreau spent four seasons (2020–2024) at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. During his time with the Trojans, the program enjoyed historic success, including a 2021 NCAA Division II College World Series appearance—the first in school and conference history—and multiple Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) championships, most recently in 2024. He was instrumental in building one of the region’s top offenses and mentoring several All-GMAC and All-American performers.
Prior to Trevecca, Jarreau served as a volunteer assistant at UNC Asheville, where he focused on the development of the Bulldogs’ hitters and outfielders during the 2019–2020 season.
Jarreau began his collegiate coaching career at Northeast Community College in Nebraska. In 2019, he helped lead the team to both a Region XI and North Plains District championship, earning a berth in the NJCAA Division II World Series. That season also saw Drew Smith named the NJCAA Division II National Player of the Year under Jarreau’s guidance.
A former standout collegiate outfielder himself, Jarreau played at Middle Tennessee State University from 2013 to 2017. He started 163 games for the Blue Raiders, compiling a .322 career batting average, earning All-Conference USA honors in 2015, and posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in center field during his senior season.
He is a native of Joelton, Tennessee.
