Daniel Carinci

Daniel Carinci begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Redbirds in 2026. Carinci was promoted to his current role after serving as a graduate assistant and director of operations for Illinois State baseball.

Carinci joined the Redbird staff after previously serving as a graduate assistant coach at Baldwin Wallace in 2024.

Before his stop in Berea, Carinci played five seasons at the Division I level. Carinci started his career at Alabama, making appearances in 17 games, including three starts. With the Crimson Tide, Carinci added three hits and a run batted in. 

In 2020, Carinci departed Tuscaloosa and joined Kansas State for a two-year stop with the Wildcats. Across two seasons, Carinci appeared in 56 games, including 46 starts. In Manhattan, Carinci recorded a .301 batting average with 50 hits, 21 RBIs, and three home runs.

Ahead of the 2022 season,  Carinci joined Marshall for the final two seasons of his collegiate career. With the Thundering Herd, he started in 86 games and recorded a batting average of .269. Carinci tallied 88 hits with 37 RBIs and six home runs across his two-year stint with Marshall.

A four-year letterwinner at Pickering High School in Ajax, Ontario, Canada, Carinci was a three-time Male Athlete of the Year from 2016-18, and was named an honorable mention for the Perfect Game Canada/Puerto Rico All-America squad. Carinci was also a member of the Canadian Junior National team and was rated as the top infield prospect in Canada by Prep Baseball Report.
