Freshman (2026): Earned First-Team All-MVC honors as an outfielder...Appeared in 43 games, making 31 starts...Batted .345 in 113 at-bats with 39 hits, eight doubles, four home runs, 30 RBI and 23 runs scored...Recorded 11 multi-hit games, including 10 two-hit performances and a three-hit game...Posted a career-high six RBI against Northern Iowa, going 3-for-3 with two doubles (March 28)...Became the first Redbird to record six RBI in a game since 2019...Hit her first-career home run against Indiana State (April 10) and followed with a three-run home run in the series finale (April 11)...Hit four home runs on the season...Posted a 10-game hitting streak...Recorded 59 total bases and a .522 slugging percentage...Added six walks and two sacrifice flies.
Prior to Illinois State: Flowers is a three-sport athlete at Carrollton high school and is a four-year starter and captain for the softball, volleyball, and basketball teams. As a junior, Flowers broke her own school record in home runs with 16, also recording a .509 BA, with 52 RBIs, and 37 stolen bases. Flowers also pitches for her high school team, and has a perfect 19-0 record, with a 0.76 ERA, and 177 strikeouts. In volleyball, she eclipsed over 1,000 kills with 994 digs and has scored over 1,000 plus career-points in basketball. In 2023, Flowers earned First-Team All Conference in all three sports, as well as Second-Team All State in basketball, and the Telegraph Player of the Year in both softball and basketball. Flowers has earned seventeen different honors and recognitions during her multi-sport high school campaign, including a conference championship in softball, and a regional championship in both softball and basketball. Flowers is a member of her high school Honor Roll, as well as the National Honor Society, and has been named an Illinois State Scholar and Academic All-Conference.
Travel Team: Flowers has played for the VA Unity under Keith Slezak, the Black Widows under Eric Strohbeck, and Bluff City under Stosha Coomer.
Personal: She is the daughter of Stosha Coomer, Jason Coomer, Nick Flowers, and Nicki Flowers. She has one brother, Hayden. Her mother, Stosha, played basketball at USI and volleyball at SIUE. Her father, Nick, played football at Monmouth college, and her stepfather, Jason, played tennis at USI. Flowers chose Illinois State because of the coaches, and the university's commitment to women's athletics. She plans on majoring in Allied Health Science with hopes to become an Occupational Therapist for children.
