Biography

2016 (Senior Year): Appeared in 15 games, all starts … named an All-Missouri Valley Conference Second-Team selection … went 5-4 with a 3.30 ERA … tallied 52 strikeouts in 87.1 innings of work … led the team in wins, games started and innings pitched … ranked second in ERA and third in strikeouts … was the only Redbird to appear exclusively in a starting role … won first two starts of the season, at Belmont (2/20) and at No. 9 Oregon (2/27) … pitched a season-high 8.1 innings at No. 9 Oregon (2/27) … turned in six quality starts, going six or more innings while allowing three or fewer runs … struck out a career-high nine batters against Xavier (4/1) … allowed two or fewer walks in 10 appearances … tossed six shutout innings each against Xavier (4/1), at Indiana State (4/15) and at Evansville (4/29) … allowed three or fewer earned runs in 13 of 15 starts.

2015 (Junior Year): Appeared in 14 games, with six starts … went 2-2 with a 4.04 ERA … tallied 36 strikeouts over 49 innings of mound work … limited opponents to a .207 batting average, best among Redbird pitchers … earned his first collegiate save in his first appearance of the season, tossing three scoreless frames to finish off a shutout of Arkansas State (2/13) … pitched a nine-inning complete game against SIUE (5/3), allowing just one run on four hits, while striking out three, to earn his first win of the season … struck out a season-high six over three innings of relief work against Evansville (4/3) … earned a win with five stellar innings at Bradley (5/10) … pitched seven solid innings against then-No. 11 Illinois (4/14) in a no-decision … did not allow more than six hits in a game … allowed two or fewer earned runs in all but three appearances.

2014 (Sophomore Year): Made eight appearances on the mound, including two starting assignments … went 1-0 with a 4.70 ERA and eight strikeouts in 15.1 innings of work … earned his lone victory of the season against Bowling Green (3/11), allowing three runs over six innings of work … combined on a shutout of MacMurray (4/23), pitching one scoreless inning in relief … did not allow an earned run in five of his eight appearances … allowed only three extra-base hits all season.

2013 (Freshman Year): Appeared in nine games for the Redbirds, making one start ... finished with a 1-0 record and a 0.52 ERA ... tallied 10 strikeouts in 17.1 innings of work ... limited opponents to a .185 batting average ... made collegiate debut, working one perfect inning with two strikeouts, at Austin Peay (2/22) ... carried a perfect game into the final inning of his first collegiate start, finishing the seven-inning game with one hit allowed and three strikeouts versus Webster (5/1) ... worked one scoreless inning with one strikeout against Bradley (5/21) in a Missouri Valley Conference Tournament game at Duffy Bass Field.

Lyons Township HS: Hit .320 with seven home runs, 35 RBIs and 40 runs scored as a senior... earned all-conference and all-area status ... helped lead his team to a runner-up finish in the IHSA Class 4A state baseball tournament.
