CAREER RESULTS

2021 FALL (R-Jr.): Competed in three races in his redshirt junior season for the Redbirds…Posted a top-70 finish (64th overall) in the men’s white race at the Bradley Classic (10/15)…Set an 8K personal best at the Redbird Invite (9/17) with a time of 26:31.3  to finish 72nd overall…Made his season debut at the Hawkeye Invitational (9/3).

2021 SPRING (So.): Did not compete.

2019 (R-Fr.): Competed in three meets for the Redbirds as a redshirt-freshman...Ran a time of 28:06.5 in the white race 8K at the Bradley Pink Classic (10/18)...Completed the 8K in 28:06.4 at the Illinois State Invite (9/13)...Opened the season at the Hawkeye Invitational (9/6) where he ran a time of 20:37.5 in the 6K.

2018 (Fr.): Utilized redshirt season.

UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL: Back-to-back IHSA Class 2A State T&F Champion in the 4x800-meter relay in 2017 and 2018...ran the anchor leg as a senior in 2018 to clinch the state championship for the Pioneers...state-championship winning time of 7:48.13 from 2017 is the University HS school-record...also finished third in the 4x400-meter relay at the 2018 IHSA 2A State T&F Championships...member of the 2017 IHSA Class 2A T&F State Championship-winning team...also a three-time IHSA Class 2A State Cross Country Championship Qualifier...cross country team was the IHSA 2A State Runner-Up in 2017...Academic All-Conference...member of the conference's Academic Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Born February 19, 2000, in Normal, Illinois...son of Norris and Beth Porter, both of whom attended ISU...has two older brothers, Brock and Drew...plans to major in accounting to practice public accounting as a CPA one day.
