Competed in one race for the Redbirds during his senior year…raced at the Illinois State Invitational, completing the 8K circuit in 27:48.40.

2017

Competed in three meets for the 'Birds during 2017 campaign...captured a top-20 finish at the Illini Open, placing 17th overall...posted season-best 8K time of 26:11.06 at the Greater Louisville Classic...also competed in the Bradley Pink Classic, recording an 8K time of 26:40.20.

2016

Did not compete.

2015

Coming off a redshirt season, LaFayette competed in five events…started his campaign at the Hawkeye Early Bird where he placed ninth with a 6K time of 19:21…personal-best 8K was at the Bradley Classic with a time of 25:15…at the MVC Championships, crossed the finish line 40th with an 8K time of 25:37.

University High School: Four-year letterwinner in track and cross country … holds four school records including the 400m, 800m, 1,600m and 4x800m relay, breaking his own record in the 1,600m race with a personal-best time of 4:17.74 … captured the 800m title to accompany a runner-up finish in the 1,600m at the 2014 state championships … holds the Class 2A state record in the 800 with a personal-best time of 1:51.48 … two-time intercity champion in the 400m sprint … honored with the leadership award for both cross country and track and field as a senior … named MVP as a senior … an 800m All-Conference honoree to accompany his sectional championship in the 800m … state runner-up in the 4x800m relay as a junior … MVP of his high school track squad as a junior … named most improved as a sophomore …  French Student of the Year … honor roll.
