2021 SPRING (5th Yr.): Ran in four races in his final year of eligibility, including the MVC Championships and NCAA Midwest Regional…Notched a 10K personal-best at the NCAA Midwest Regional (11/12), clocking in at 32:49.23…Was the fifth Redbird to cross the finish line at the MVC Championships (10/29), placing 33rd overall in a time of 25:51.3…Posted an 8K personal-best time of 25:16.7 in the men’s red race at the Bradley Classic (10/15) to finish 78th overall…Opened the season with a top-100 finish at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (10/1).

2021 SPRING (Sr.): Was the fourth Redbird and 11th overall finisher at the MVC Cross Country Championships, clocking in with a time of 25:32.4 to help Illinois State win their first MVC Cross Country team title since 2002.

2019 (Jr.): Competed in all six meets for the Redbird men, including the MVC Championship and the NCAA Midwest Regional...Crossed the finish line second for the Redbirds and 96th overall at the NCAA Midwest Regional (11/15) in first 10K of his career...Finished third for the 'Birds and 35th overall at the MVC Championships (11/2), recording a time of 26:24.65...Was the fourth Redbird finisher in the red race at the Bradley Pink Classic (10/18), clocking in at 25:53.7 to place 83rd overall...ISU's top finisher at the Gans Creek Classic (9/27), posting a 33rd-place finish overall with a time of 26:34.9 in the 8K...Recorded a personal-best 8K time of 25:31.6 to finish third on the team and 23rd overall at the Illinois State Invite (9/13)...Was the top finisher for the Redbirds in the 6K at the Hawkeye Invitational (9/6), finishing 15th overall with a personal-best time of 18:46.1.

2018 (So.): Competed in four races as a sophomore, including the MVC Championship...turned in his best performance of the season when his team needed him the most, capturing an 8K personal-best of 25:59.40 at the Valley Championship and helping his team to a runner-up finish...was the second Redbird finisher at the Bradley Classic, finishing the 8K circuit in 26:00.60...posted highest finish of the season at the Illinois State Invitational, finishing 29th with an 8K time of 26:22.00.

2017 (Fr.): Competed in five meets for the Redbirds during freshman campaign...recorded 8K personal-best of 26:34.35 at the Greater Louisville Classic...posted a 6K personal-record of 19:25.00 at the Hawkeye Invitational...captured highest finish of career at the Illini Open, placing 27th.

METAMORA TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time IHSA Class 2A Cross Country State Championship Qualifier...three-time individual conference champion and four-time team conference champion...finished 10th at IHSA Class 2A Cross Country State Championship in 2016, helping his team finish sixth in the state...three-time Peoria Journal Star Area Cross Country Runner of the Year...five-time IHSA Class 2A Track & Field State Championship Qualifier...2017 IHSA Class 2A State Championship 800-meter and 1,600-meter Champion...holds school record in the 800-meter run (1:53.74) and school and state record in the 1,600-meter run (4:13.52)...helped team record the highest point total at states in school history en route to a fifth place finish...also played basketball for three seasons...was a member of the National Honors Society and a National Merit Scholar...garnered IHSA Academic All-State honors...was the Salutatorian of his class.

PERSONAL: Born 03/09/1999...son of Mike and Mary Gillum, who both attended ISU...has one younger sister, Aly...plans to major in exercise science with hopes of becoming a physical therapist.
