PRIOR TO ISU

Geneseo High School: 2018 IHSA Class 2A State Track & Field 400-meter Champion...also placed fourth in the 800-meter at the 2018 IHSA 2A State Finals...crowned the conference and sectional champion in both the 400-meter and 800-meter in 2018...helped school's 4x400-meter relay squad to an IHSA State Championship in 2017...also ran a leg on Geneseo's 4x800-meter relay team that placed second at the state finals in 2016 and 2017...team was the IHSA Class 2A Runner-Up in 2016...eight-time IHSA Class 2A State Track & Field Championship qualifier...2018 Illinois Top Times 800-meter runner-up...holds school records in the 400-meter (48.49), 800-meter (1:54.66), 4x400-meter relay (3:21.27), and 4x800-meter relay (7:56.33)...was also a member of Geneseo's football team, earning All-Conference accolades his senior year...Honor Roll student.

Personal: Born April 5, 2000, in Peoria, Illinois...son of Jodi Thomas and the late Jason Swartzendruber...has one sibling, Logan...uncle, Bill Thommen, played basketball at Eastern Illinois...plans to major in business.
