2021 FALL (Jr.): Ran in four meets in his junior campaign…Closed out the season with a 14th-place finish at the Illini Open (10/22)…Placed 191st in the men’s red race at the Bradley Classic (10/15)…Crossed the finish line sixth for the Redbirds and 105th overall at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (10/1)…Opened the season with a personal best at the Redbird Invite, finishing in a time of 25:42.2 (42nd overall).

2021 SPRING (So.): Placed 38th overall at the Lipscomb Winter Classic, finishing with a time of 26:05.4 in the men's 8K.

2019 (Fr.): Ran in all six meets for the Illinois State men...Was the third Redbird to cross the finish line at the NCAA Midwest Regional (11/15), finishing 131st overall with a time of 33:32.7 in the first 10K of his collegiate career...Placed 44th overall at his first MVC Championships (11/2), recording a time of 26:52.72...Ran his first sub-26 minute 8K in the red race at the Bradley Pink Classic (10/18), posting a personal-best time of 25:58.5...Raced in the 8K circuit at the Gans Creek Classic (9/27)...Completed his first collegiate 8K at the Illinois State Invite (9/13), clocking in at 26:06.7 to finish 46th overall...Opened the season at the Hawkeye Invitational (9/6), finishing 36th in the 6K with a time of 19:45.2.

WHEELING HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner in cross country and track & field...Selected as team captain for the track & field team as a junior and a senior...Earned Mid-Suburban League All-Conference honors in cross country as a junior and a senior...Placed 11th at the Schamburg Sectional in cross country in 2018...Qualified for the state meet in cross country as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born 5/1/01...Son of Tom and Mary Polak...Has one younger brother, Ethan...Plans to major in Tech Education with aspirations of teaching engineering and coach cross country and track & field...A member of the National Technical Honor Society...Was on the honor roll for seven semesters in high school.
