2021 (spring): Earned First-Team All-America from HERO Sports, the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Stats Perform and The Associated Press ... earned an invitation to the prestigious East/West Shrine Bowl (was not played due to pandemic) ... selected a 2020-21 Second-Team Academic All-America® selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) ... one of 12 national finalists for the 2020 Campbell Trophy, often referred to as the "Academic Heisman" and a National Football Foundation Academic All-Star ... also earned FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team honors for the second time ... Missouri Valley Football Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year and MVFC All-Academic First Team selection ... First-Team All-MVFC pick, after starting all four games at left tackle for the Redbirds ... graded out at over 90 percent for the season … key member of the offensive line unit that helped the Redbirds rush for 172 yards per game … aided two different backs in rushing for over 100 yards in a game, including two in the win over Western Illinois.

FCS ADA Academic All-Star ... selected as a Missouri Valley Football Conference First-Team all-conference and all-academic pick ...  two-time MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week … started all 15 games at left tackle for the Redbirds … graded out at over 90 percent for the season … led way for the league’s leading rusher in James Robinson, who recorded 1,899 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground … earned MVFC Lineman of the Week honors after the Redbirds rushed for 254 yards and three scores against Morehead State … earned second MVFC weekly award after helping ISU rush for 287 yards in a win over Indiana State.

2018: HERO Sports FCS Sophomore All-America First-Team selection ...  All-Missouri Valley Conference Second-Team pick ...  earned MVFC All-Academic Second-Team plaudits ... started all 11 games at left tackle … critical part of the offensive line unit that made ISU the third-best scoring offense in the conference … led the way for James Robinson, who rushed for a league-leading 1,290 yards with 12 touchdowns … named MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week, after helping two backs each rush for over 100 yards as the Redbirds tallied a season-best 409 yards on the ground against Southern Illinois (Oct. 13).

2017: Named a HERO Sports FCS Freshman All-American following redshirt freshman seaosn  ... MVFC All-Newcomer Team selection ... started all nine games played in at left tackle … missed two games due to a foot injury ... instrumental part of ISU’s offensive front that had the fourth-best rushing offense in the MVFC … helped James Robinson rank second in the MVFC in rushing touchdowns (12) and third in yards (933).

2016: Redshirted.

Geneseo HS: Two-year varsity starter for head coach Larry Johnsen, Jr. … all-state honorable mention selection as a senior, after recording 55 tackles, nine sacks and 12 tackles-for-loss … caught 17 passes for 356 yards with six touchdowns in final season … also earned all-conference and Quad Cities All-Metro Team honors … led team to the IHSA Class 5A semifinals with a 12-1 overall record and helped the team secure a NIB-12 conference championship … also earned academic all-conference honors … earned all-conference honorable mention honors as a junior, while helping the team to an IHSA Class 4A state runner-up finish and conference title … also a standout on the basketball court and on the baseball field. 

Personal: Born Sept. 19, 1996, in Geneseo, Illinois … son of Scott and Angela Himmelman … oldest of three children … member of the National Honor Society and an academic all-conference selection in football, basketball and baseball … plans to major in business administration.
