Biography

2025: All-MVFC Second Team selection at fullback ... NFF Hampshire Honor Society member ... played in all 17 games, with one starting assignment ... helped lead the way for the Redbird rushing attack that averaged 169.8 yards per game on the ground and an offense that scored 30.8 points per game ... caught 25 passes for 248 yards on the year (9.9 per reception) and scored three touchdowns on the year ... hauled in a longest pass of the year (30 yards) in a win at Eastern Illinois ... scored a pair of touchdowns on three catches in a road win at South Dakota ... had a memorable game in the second-round FCS playoff win at North Dakota State, catching three passes for 45 yards and also caught the game-winning two-point conversion to defeat the Bison ... hauled in a 10-yard touchdown pass in the FCS National Championship game against Montana State ... also recorded five tackles on the year on special teams coverage.

2024: Saw action in all 14 games as the team’s primary fullback/H-back … helped lead the way for Wenkers Wright, who ranked fifth in the MVFC in rushing yards with 1,123 yards … also a threat in the passing game for the Redbirds, with 11 receptions for 121 yards (11.0 yards per catch), with a long of 41 yards at UNI …posted a season-high four catches for 19 yards in the FCS quarterfinal game at UC Davis ... preseason All-MVFC Honorable Mention selection.

2023: Saw action in five games, with one reception for six yards on the season.

2022: Saw action in seven games for the Redbirds.

2021 (fall): Redshirted.

East St. Louis HS: In first year at East St. Louis …  played previous three seasons at Trinity Catholic in St. Louis … recorded 12 catches for 233 yards with three touchdowns as a junior … recorded 71 tackles, four TFLs and two interceptions on defense, while helping team advance to the district playoffs … as a sophomore in 2018, caught four passes for 85 yards and accounted for three touchdowns … posted 26 tackles, three TFLs and one sack as team won a district title and a class 3A state championship with a 13-2 overall record.

Personal: Born August 29, 2002 in St. Louis, Missouri … son of Scott Sr. and Victoria Smith … one of four children.
