High School: In 2023, as a varsity starter for Wapello HS softball Wolford set single season records in RBI, batting average (.624), doubles, hits, runs, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage. She was named the 2023 Conference Player of the Year, All-District SE IOWA team and All-State team while leading her high school to a Conference Championship. A multi-sport athlete, Wolford is a four-year cross-country athlete, basketball starter, and wrestler. In basketball, she was Co-Captain ('22,'23), earning the program record for most three-pointers and free throw percentage all while scoring over 500 career points. She earned the honors of All-Conference Second-team ('21) and All-Conference First-Team ('22). As a wrestler, Wolford earned a winning record in both the 2021 (15-2) and 2022 (20-2) seasons. She was the 2022 IWCOA Girls State Wrestling Championship Runner-up and All-Des Moines Register Area Team member. Wolford earned several academic awards, including 4.0 GPA Gold Medal and Academic All-Conference in Cross Country, Basketball, Wrestling, and Track.
Travel Team: Wolford plays for Iowa Premier Fastpitch for Coach Greg Dickel.
Personal: She is the daughter of Dusty and Jacque Wolford and has two siblings, Kirstin and Cohen. She chose Illinois State because of how comfortable she felt on campus and the ability of the staff and advisors to make her feel like family. She plans on majoring in Elementary Education with the goal to teach fourth grade.
