Jack Betz is entering his fourth season at Illinois State, and his first as Chief of Staff. He had previously served as a graduate assistant for two years and Director of Basketball Operations in 2024-25. He was a four-year student-manager with Ohio State, and was co-head manager during the 2021-22 season. He saw the Buckeyes finish with an 82-47 record during his four seasons, with three trips to the NCAA Tournament – the only miss was the COVID-cancelled 2019 season. He worked with NBA players Duane Washington, E.J. Liddell, and Malaki Branham.

Betz is originally from Galena, Ohio.
