2013 at Oregon: Played in 10 games, finishing with nine total tackles (four solo) . . . recorded two solo stops in a win over Cal, two tackles (one solo) vs. Virginia, and two tackles (one solo, on assisted) against Washington State . . .  had one tackle against Arizona, while making first career tackle in the season-opening win over Nicholls. 

2012 at Oregon: Redshirted ... credited with seven tackles in the 2013 Spring Game (four solo). 

Newport HS: Played quarterback and defensive back while helping team to the first round of the state playoffs his senior year ... passed for 790 yards and eight touchdowns in final season, while rushing for 2,134 yards and 25 touchdowns ...  contributed 79 tackles, two interceptions, and blocked two field goals, averaging 7.2 tackles a game in 2011 ... named a class 4A first-team all-state selection at defensive back and second-team quarterback as a senior ... received offensive and defensive player of the year awards for the 4A Oregon West Conference ... earned 4A Oregon West Conference first-team quarterback and first-team defensive back honors ... selected to the 2012 Parade All-America High School Football Team as an all-purpose player ... threw for 832 yards and seven touchdowns and ran 247 times for 2,152 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior ... also played basketball and competed in track and field for the Cubs ... also a two-time state triple jump champion, he claimed the 2012 long jump title while placing second in the pole vault and discus for the second year in a row.
