He has twice been named MVC Golfer of the Week this season, and he has played in five tournaments and 14 total rounds during the season, with a scoring average of 72.0 ... He has eight rounds this season at or under par, with two top-five finishes ... Had a season-low tournament score of 207 at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, where he tied for second among the 80 golfers ... His two rounds of 67 and 68 at the Dorado Beach Collegiate finished as the lowest 36-hole tournament score in program history ... His 65 at the Dayton Flyer Invitational is tied for the sixth-lowest single-round in program history, and his 207 is tied for the 13th-lowest tournament score 

2022-23 (Senior)


Played in 12 of the team's 13 rounds during the season with a stroke average of 73.1, second-best on the team and 12th-best in school history. He had a dozen rounds at or under par, which is the 15th-most in school history. Opened the season with two consecutive tournaments under par, with a two-under 214 at the Island Resort Intercollegiate, and a five-under 139 at the 2022 Badger Invitational. His Badger Invitational total is tied for the sixth-best 36-hole tournament score in program history. Had two consecutive tournaments late in the season in which he shot a 207 (tied for ninth-best in school history) at the Boilermaker Invitational, and then a 204 (third-best in school history) at the 2023 MVC Championship, as he placed sixth and second, respectively. Earned All-MVC honors during the season, and his 65 is tied for the second-lowest single-round score in MVC Championship history, and his 204 for the tournament is the fourth-best in championship history. Was named to the GCAA All-American Scholar team.

2021-22 (Junior)


Named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, and to the GCAA All-American scholar list. Named to the All-MVC squad after his performance at the 2022 MVC Championships. Played in seven tournaments and 21 total rounds, with a season-low round of 69 in the second round of the MVC Championships. He had four rounds at or under par during the season, with one top-10 finish - fourth at the MVC Championships. His season-low tournament total came with a 219 (+3) at the MVC Championship.

2020-21 (Sophomore)


Named to Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-American scholar list. Played in 21 rounds (seven events), averaging 75.4 strokes per round. Had a low round of 69 at the Craft Farms Intercollegiate, and finished six shots over par with a 222 for the tournament. His best finish came at the MVC Championship where he tied for 10th of 45 golfers. 

2019-20 (Freshman)


Played in all 18 rounds for Illinois State prior to the season being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Averaged 73.6 strokes per round, which was the third-lowest scoring average on the squad. In the six tournaments he had seven rounds at or under par, including a season-low of 70. His low round of 70 came at the Badger Invitational - his first career event - as he finished with a four-over 220 for the three rounds. His top finish came at the Golfweek Conference Challenge where he tied for 32nd of 93 golfers in the field. His low tournament was a three-round 217 at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate with a one-over 217 after rounds of 73, 72, and 72.

PRIOR TO ILLINOIS STATE


A native of Tilburg, Holland, van Dijk is a member of the Dutch National Team and has a world amateur ranking of 780. He finished ninth at the 2018 International Juniors of Belgium with tournament scores of 75, 69, 70, and 74, and it represented his second top-25 finish in the event. He was the champion of the 2017 Dutch National U21 Match Play Championship and finished third in the event in 2018. He is a two-time runner-up at the Dutch National U18 Stroke Play Championship in 2017 (71-68-71) and in 2018 (67-72-66). In 2017 he placed 11th in both the Dutch Amateur Championship (71-71-71-71) and the Dutch International Junior Open (74-70-70-72). He won the Dutch u18 Championship in 2015 (74-70) and won nationals in high school in the Netherlands with a 65.
