At Rock Island: Won first place at the IHSA state meet in the triple jump with a 47-02.50 ... qualified to compete in the state meet long jump, but did not advance to the finals ... a member of the Rock Island team that took fifth place at the state meet with 37 points ... team co-captain of his high school basketball team.
