Prior to Illinois State: Boyer is a dual-sport athlete at Tuscola high school, as a four-year member and captain of the softball and basketball teams. In the 2024 softball season, Boyer had a .556 BA, a .662 OBP, and 16 extra-base hits through just seventeen games before sitting out due to injury, while still earning All-State, News Gazette All-Area, and the Warrior Spirit Team Award. During her freshman year, she broke the freshman record in home runs with 10 and earned a spot on the All-State Team, All-Conference First Team, News Gazette All-Area team, and Herald Review All-Area Team, while also helping her team to both a conference championship and a regional championship. In her sophomore year, she broke the second-year record with 14 home runs, which ranked second-highest in program history. As a sophomore, Boyer earned All-State honors, another unanimous First-Team All Conference selection, and both News Gazette All-Area, and Herald Review All-Area. In basketball, Boyer has earned accolades such as All-Conference, IBCA All-State, News Gazette All-Area, and Holiday Hoopla Christmas All-Tournament Team. As the starting point guard, she brought her team to three conference championships and three regional championships. Boyer is ranked in the Top 200 Extra Inning Softball players as the No. 67 infielder in the country for the class of 2025. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the 2025 Class President.

Personal: She is the daughter of Amy and Dale Boyer, and has one sister, Ella, who is a current member of the Redbird Softball team. Her mom, Amy, attended Illinois State, and her sister is in her second-year with the university and the softball program. Boyer chose Illinois State because of the family ties to the school and the community. She plans on majoring in Integrated Marketing and Communications with the goal of working as a sports marketer in a professional organization.
