Senior (2022): Started all 52 games for the Redbirds at second base…Only player to start every game this season…Earned Preseason All-MVC accolades at second base…Named to the All-MVC Second Team as well as the All-Defensive Team and MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team…One of 30 NCAA Division I softball student-athletes selected as a candidate for the 2022 Senior CLASS Award…CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team…Earned NFCA First Team All-Region honors…Led the team in batting average (.351), hits (54), doubles (16), walks (24), and on-base percentage (.445)…Olson’s 16 doubles ties her for 5th in program history for doubles in a single season and her 40 career doubles also ties her for fifth in program history in the category…Collected her first hit of the season against No. 6/5 Florida (Feb. 11) as she went 2-for-3…Collected her first three-hit game against (RV) Minnesota (Feb. 19) as she went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored…First multi-RBI game came against Chattanooga (Mar. 10) as she went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored…Had 5 RBI against Valparaiso (May 1) when she went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, and three runs scored…Held a reached base safely streak of 32 consecutive games from Feb. 20 to April 23 (lost it against UNI on April 23)…32 consecutive games ties the longest known reached base safely streak by a Redbird in program history…Led the team in multiple hit games with 16…Ended the season with 93 putouts and 82 assists…Her .351 BA and 54 hits were career high for the categories in a single season.

Junior (2021): Moved into a starting role at second base, earning the start in all 41 contests for the Redbirds … Landed a spot on the All-MVC Second Team … Earned an MVC Scholar-Athlete Team Honorable Mention … Finished third on the team in batting average (.318), while ranking second in runs scored (22) and RBIs (28) … Tied for the most doubles (8), while belting four home runs … Went a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen bases … Turned in a 17-game reached base … Logged the second-most multi-hit (11) and multi-RBI (8) games on the team … Knocked a triple against Dayton (March 12) … Belted four home runs, including in back-to-back games against UT Martin (Feb. 25) and Northern Kentucky (Feb. 27).

Sophomore (2020): One of just two Redbirds to start all 23 games for ISU in 2020 … Earned a spot on the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team for her success in the classroom … Led the team with 21 RBIs, while ranking second in batting average (.329) and third in doubles … Tied for the most triples (2) and in a three-way tie for the second-most home runs (3) by a Redbird this season … Turned in the third-best slugging percentage (.595) … Went a perfect 4-for-4 with a pair of runs scored, three RBI and a homer in a win over Hofstra (Feb. 21) … Was recognized as the Valley’s Player of the Week on Feb. 17 for her performance at Arizona State’s Littlewood Classic, where she boasted a .526 batting average and team-best seven RBIs including the go-ahead three RBI home run in ISU’s eight-run fifth inning against Detroit Mercy (Feb. 16) … One of just two Redbirds to register a four-hit performance this season … Logged seven multi-hit games – the second most on the team – and a team-best five multi-RBI games … Ended the season on a four-game hitting streak … Shortened season due to COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of events and championships by the NCAA.

Freshman (2019): Started all 51 games for the Redbirds in the shortstop position as a true freshman ... Named MVC Newcomer of the Week on March 18 and April 29 ... Logged eight multi-hit and six multi-RBI games ... Ended her freshman campaign on a nine-game hitting streak - her longest of the season ... Led all newcomers at the plate, batting .275 with 21 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples and six home runs ... Ranked fourth on the team with 27 RBI ... Tied for the most walks drawn on the team with 25 ... Tallied her first career hit in the season opener at USF (Feb. 7) ... Scored a pair of runs, while hitting her first career home run versus nationally-ranked Michigan (Feb. 10) ... Registered a season-high four RBI with three runs scored and a pair of home runs in an offensive battle with Utah State (Feb. 16) ... Led the team in triples (2), tallying one against Evansville (March 16) and Bradley (April 23).

Hartsburg-Emden & Olympia HS: Earned four varsity letters in softball … 2017 and 2018 second-team all-state and Corn Belt first-team all-conference selections … Two-time Tomahawk first-team all-conference selection in 2015 ans 2016 … Garnered the defensive award as a freshman … Led her team in batting average each season … Plays utility infielder for the BNGSA Avanti's Angels under coach Steve Hassel … 2017 ASA Northern National Champions … USSSA and USA 18U state champions … ASA 14U and 16U state champions … Also is a four-year letterwinner in volleyball … Served a captain for two seasons … Named to the Illini Prairie all-conference first-team in 2017 … Finished second at the Illinois state championship in 2014 … Named the defensive award winner in 2015 and all-conference honorable mention in 2016 … Also competed in cheerleading for three seasons … Named the Hopedale Medical Center Student Athlete of the Month … Served as vice president two years … Member of National Honor Society … Collected High Honors.

Personal: Emme Louise Olson is the daughter of Tracy and Stacy Olson … Sister to Drew, Abby, and Clay … Sister, Abby, played softball for the Redbirds from 2008-11, garnering numerous honors including NFCA All-America status in 2010 … Brother, Drew, played baseball for Lincoln College … Born Nov. 16 in Lincoln, Illinois … Plans to major in financial accounting.
