Biography

High School: Kemp plays travel ball year-round with the Iowa Premier Fastpitch. In 2023, Kemp finished third at the Alliance National Championship. She combined for 73.2 innings pitched, earning a record of 55-8 with 57 strikeouts. In 2022, she combined for 67 innings pitched, earning a record of 40-4 and striking out 101 with an 1.15. ERA for Iowa Premier 16U. Kemp was also a four-year member of the High Gold Honor Roll at Hempstead HS.

Travel Team: Kemp plays for Iowa Premier Fastpitch for Coach Greg Dickel.

Personal: She is the daughter of Lisa and Lenny Kemp and has four siblings, Ashley, Kaytee, Matt, and Hallie. Her brother swam for St. Ambrose University. Kemp chose Illinois State because of her immediate connection to the coaching staff and the proximity to home. She plans to major in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
