Prior to Illinois State: Rummans plays travel ball year-round with the Iowa Premier Fastpitch. In the 2023 season, she maintained a .372 BA, with 34 RBIs, 19 of which came on two-strike counts. She helped to lead her team to a top-three finish at the Alliance Tier One National Championship, and a top-five finish at the Colorado Sparkler. Rummans is also a three-year varsity member of her high school basketball team, where she was named MVP for the past three seasons. She was also named IBCA All-District Team, First-Team HOIAC, and Academic All-Conference. She holds the school basketball rebound record with 728, with one year left to play, as well as broke single-game records in rebounds (29), steals (13), and field goals (13). Rummans has been named the Salutatorian of her graduating high school class and is currently dual enrolled at Des Moines Area Community College.

Personal: She is the daughter of Mackinzie Behnke and Mark Rummans, and has three siblings, Payton, Bodie, and Evelyn. Rummans chose Illinois State because of the campus and the reputation of the State Farm Business School. She plans to major in Accounting.
