2020-21 OUTDOOR (So.): Competed at six meets during the 2021 outdoor season, including the MVC Championships...Cleared a season-best 1.93 meters (6-4 ft.) in the high jump to place seventh and score points for the 'Birds at the MVC Championships...Also competed in the javelin at the MVC Championships, taking ninth with a personal-best throw of 45.23 meters (148-5 ft.)...Placed second in the high jump at the Redbird Invite, clearing 1.87 meters (6-1.5 ft.)...Finished fourth in both the high jump and the javelin at the Illinois State Invite.

2020-21 INDOOR (Jr.): Did not compete.

2019-20 OUTDOOR (So.): Canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-20 INDOOR (So.): Competed in the high jump at three meets as a sophomore...Cleared a season-best 1.95 meters (6-4.75 ft.) at the adidas Classic in Lincoln, Nebraska...Opened the season with a second-place finish, clearing 1.93 meters (6-4 ft.) at the EIU Early Bird.

2018-19 OUTDOOR (Fr.): Competed in the high jump at the MVC Outdoor Championships (5/10-12), clearing 1.87 meters (6-1.5 ft.)...Recorded an eighth-place finish in the high jump with a clearance of 1.86 meters (6-1.25 ft.) at the Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational (4/26-27)...Notched a personal-best clearance of 2.00 meters (6-6.75 ft.) to finish second in the high jump at the Pacesetter Sports Invitational (4/19-20)...Earned the bronze in the high jump at the Redbird Invitational (4/6), clearing 1.90 meters (6-2.75 ft.)...Opened the season at the Ole Miss Classic (3/30), finishing ninth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.95 meters (6-4.75 ft.).

2018-19 INDOOR (Fr.): Scored points for the Redbirds at the MVC Indoor Championships (2/23-24), finishing sixth in the high jump with a clearance of 2.00 meters (6-6.75 ft.)...Posted a fifth-place finish in the high jump at the Badger Red & White Classic (2/15), clearing 1.98 meters (6-6 ft.)...Cleared 1.92 meters (6-3.5 ft.) in the high jump at the Music City Challenge (2/8-9)...Finished seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.95 meters (6-4.75 ft.) and recorded a personal-best mark of 6.22 meters (20-5 ft.) in the long jump at the Illini Invitational (1/25-26)...Placed fifth in the high jump at the Coughlan-Malloy Cup (1/12), clearing 1.89 meters (6-2.25 ft.)...Made his ISU debut at the Jimmy Grant Invitational (12/8), clearing 1.90 meters (6-2.75 ft.) in the high jump.

MERIDIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 2018 Illinois Top Times High Jump Champion...two-time Illinois Top Times qualifier in the high jump...three-time IHSA Class 1A State T&F Championship qualifier in the high jump...posted a top-10 finish in the high jump at the state meet in each of the three years he qualified, placing third in 2018, sixth in 2017, and eighth in 2016...also helped Meridian's 4x400-meter relay team to a third place finish at the state finals in 2018...holds the school record in the 4x200-meter and 4x400-meter relays...also a four-year member of Meridian's football and basketball teams, earning All-County and All-Conference honors in both sports in 2016, 2017, and 2018...Honor Roll student.

PERSONAL: Born May 23, 2000, in Decatur, Illinois...son of Jim and Misty Getz...has three older siblings, Dakota, Erika, and Chelsea, all three of which played sports in college...brother, Dakota, played football at the University of Iowa, and sister, Erika, played volleyball at William Penn...sister, Chelsea, currently plays softball at Tennessee State...plans to major in agribusiness.
