2016-17

Indoor: Placed seventh and recorded a season-best time in the 3,000-meter run (8:57.06) at the Illinois Orange and Blue open...posted season-best in the 5,000-meter run (15:00.61) at the GVSU Big Meet Invite.

Outdoor: Won the 5,000-meter run at the Gibson Invitational...finished third in the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 8:34.43 at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic.

2015-16

Indoor: Competed at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship in the 3,000 meters (8:45.10) and the 5,000 meter (15:05.60)…posted his season-best 3,000m at the GVSU Big Meet with a time of 8:40.25.

Outdoor: Captured his personal-best 10,000-meter run at the Drake Relays as he ran a time of 30:44.12 and placed 14th overall...earned his personal-best 3,000-meter run at a time of 8:35.65, which was posted at the Illinois Twilight meet...placed 15th at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships in the 10,000-meter run.

2014-15

Indoor: Earned personal-best mile run at the GVSU Big Meet with a clocked time of 4:14.10 placing fourth…at the Meyo Invitational clocked a time of 4:20.66… at the Indiana Relay captured his personal best in the 3,000-meter with a time of 8:37.81…at the Illinois Orange and Blue placed sixth with a time of 8:38.62…at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships clocked a time of 8:54.46…Also at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships competed in distance medley relay earned third place and All-MVC with a time of 10:11.44

Outdoor: Earned his personal-best in the 5,000-meter with a clocked time of 14:42.46 and placed fourth…also competed in the 5,000-meter at the Big Blue Classic where he placed fifth with a time of 15:07.21…competed in the 1,500-meter at the Lenny Lyles where he clocked a time of 4:00.74…at the Drake Relays competed in the 4 x 1600 and earned a time of 17:08.02.

2013-14

Indoor: Opened the season with a personal-best mile time of 4:19.71 … clocked a personal-best 3,000-meter time of 8:44.36 at the Meyo Invitational to finish eighth overall.

Outdoor: Posted a personal-best 1,500m time of 3:53.48 at the Jesse Owens Classic to finish 17th in a field of 45 … scored points for the Redbird men with a time of 3:58.10 at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, finishing eighth overall … clocked a personal-best 5,000m time of 15:01.96 … member of the eighth-place 4x1,600m team that ran a time of 16:54.82 at the Drake Relays. 

PRIOR TO ISU

Kenowa Hills High School: Four-year letterwinner in track and cross country...Holds the 5K school record in cross country with a time of 15:15 as well as the 1,600-meter run school record with a time of 4:14...Named MVP for three consecutive years in track and cross country...Four-time All-Conference member in track and cross country...Three-time All-State honors in cross country...Two-Time regional champion in cross country and track...Helped lead his team to its first regional win in school history...Holds a personal-best time of 15:15 in the 5K and 4:14 and 9:13 in the 1,600-and 3,200-meter runs, respectively...Scholar athlete and National Honors Society member.

Personal: Son of Kelly and Jeff Bajema...Siblings are Katie, Megan and Emily...Plans to major in health sciences.
