2021-2022 Outdoor (Sr.): Competed in ten meets in his last season as a Redbird, including the 2022 NCAA Championships… Opened his season taking fourth in the shot put at the Texas Relays with a toss of 19.54m (64’ 1.25”)… Won the discus throw at the Redbird Invite with a mark of 50.73m (166’ 5”)… Followed that up with victories in the Redbird Challenge and Illini Invitational shot put events… Placed sixth overall in a deep field of competition in the Drake Relays shot put with a mark of 18.73m (61’ 5.5”)… Threw a personal best in the discus throw at the Wisconsin Classic, posting a mark of 53.94m (177’ 0”), which ranks him seventh in ISU history… Launched a personal best in the shot put at the MVC Championships of 20.24m (66’ 5”) to rank him second all-time in the event and within the top-ten in the NCAA during the 2022 season... Scored points in all three throwing events at MVCs taking second in the shot put, seventh in discus and fifth in hammer throw… Placed eighth overall at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in the shot put throwing 19.63m (64’ 5”) to qualify for the NCAA Championships… Finished his career placing sixth in the nation with a mark of 19.89m (65’ 3.25”) for All-American honors

2021-2022 Indoor (Sr.): Competed in eight meets during his final indoor campaign as a Redbird… Started the season with a victory at the John Coughlan Invite with a mark of 18.24m (62’ 2.25”)… Swept the weight throw and shot put events at both the Blue Demon Holiday Invite and the Coughlan-Malloy Cup, throwing a seasons-best in the weight throw of 20.79m (68’ 2.5”)… Put up another impressive showing at the Meyo Invitational, taking second place in a deep field with a mark of 19.01m (62’ 4.5”) to move him to No. 2 all-time in ISU history… Won the weight throw at the MVC Indoor Championships with a mark of 20.20m (66’ 3.25”)… Also bettered his No. 2 all-time mark in the shot put at MVCs with a mark of 19.29m (63’ 3.5”) to take runner-up honors

2020-21 OUTDOOR (Jr.): Competed at eight meets, including the MVC Championships and the NCAA West Preliminary Round during the 2021 outdoor season...Threw a personal-best mark of 61.35 meters (201-3 ft.) in the hammer throw to finish 24th overall at the NCAA West Prelims after coming in seeded 48th...Placed 22nd in the shot put at the NCAA West Prelims, throwing 18.24 meters (59-10.25 ft.)...Finished in the top-five in the shot put, discus and hammer throw at the MVC Championships...Earned All-Valley honors in the shot put, placing third with a throw of 18.81 meters (61-8.5 ft.)...Placed fourth in the discus at the Valley Championships, throwing a personal-best mark of 52.46 meters (172-1 ft.)...Threw a mark of 59.71 meters (195-11 ft.) to place fifth in the hammer throw at the conference meet...Placed first eight times and finished in the top-three 15 times this season...Won the shot put, discus and hammer throw at the Redbird Invite...Threw a personal-best mark of 19.13 meters (62-9.25 ft.) in the shot put at the Illinois State Invite...Currently ranks No. 2 in the shot put, No. 6 in the hammer throw and No. 7 in the discus on the Illinois State top-10 list...Earned MVC Male Field Athlete of the Week honors twice during the outdoor campaign...Named the MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for his efforts in the field and in the classroom.

2020-21 INDOOR (R-Jr.): Competed at five meets, including the MVC Championships as a redshirt-junior...Placed first in the throwing events six times throughout the season...Opened the season with a first-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 19.69 meters (64-7.25 ft.) and a second-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 18.36 meters (60-3 ft.) at the Jack Jennett Invite...Swept the throwing events at the Don DeNoon Dual, throwing personal bests in both the shot put (18.51 meters/60-8.75 ft.) and the weight throw (20.83 meters/68-4.25 ft.)...Won the shot put at the GVSU Big Meet with a throw of 18.09 meters (59-4.25 ft.) and took fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 20.03 meters (65-8.75 ft.)...Won both the shot put and the weight throw for the second time this season at the EIU Friday Night Special...Earned All-Valley honors in the shot put (18.17 meters/59-7.5 ft.) with a runner-up finish at the MVC Championships...Took fourth in the weight throw at the conference meet with a throw of 18.93 meters (62-1.25 ft.).

2018-19 INDOOR (So.): Earned All-MVC honors in the shot put, finishing third with a mark of 18.32 meters (60-1.25 ft.) at the MVC Indoor Championships (2/23-24)...Also scored points for the 'Birds, placing sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 17.80 meters (58-4.75 ft.) at the MVC Indoor Championships...Recorded personal bests in both the shot put and the weight throw at the Badger Red & White Classic (2/15), finishing with a mark of 18.50 meters (60-8.5 ft.) in the shot put to place third and 17.86 meters (58-7.25 ft.) in the weight throw to place sixth...Competed in the shot put and the weight throw at the Music City Challenge (2/8-9), posting a 10th-place finish in the shot put...Won the shot put with a throw of 17.98 meters (59-0 ft.) and finished fifth in the weight throw at the Illini Invitational (1/25-26)...Won the shot put at the Notre Dame Invitational (1/19), posting a mark of 18.27 meters (59-11.25 ft.)...Claimed the shot put and weight throw title at the Coughlan-Malloy Cup (1/12), finishing with a mark of 17.74 meters (58-2.5 ft.) in the shot put and 17.47 meters (57-3.75 ft.) in the weight throw...Opened the season with a third-place finish in the shot put and a fourth-place finish in the weight throw at the Jimmy Grant Invitational (12/8).

2017-18 OUTDOOR (Fr.): Competed in the shot put and hammer throw at the Valley Championships...finished 12th in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 16.10m (52-10.00)...placed 13th in the hammer throw with a distance of 49.44m (162-02.00)...captured personal-best hammer throw at the Wisconsin Twilight, recording a heave of 52.52m (172-04.00) to finish sixth...also competed in the discus on one occasion at the Black & Gold Invite, finishing sixth with a throw of 41.79m (137-01.50). 

2017-18 INDOOR (Fr.): Competed in both the shot put and weight throw at the MVC Championships, capturing a pair of top-10 finishes...placed 10th in the shot put with a throw of 17.24m (56-06.75)...also finished 10th in the weight throw with a personal-best heave of 16.75m (54-11.50)...cracked ISU's top-10 list in the shot put at the GVSU Big Meet, placing second with a personal-best distance of 17.52m (57-05.75)...mark currently ranks fifth all-time in Illinois State history...recorded five top-three finishes in shot put over the course of the season.

BLOOMINGTON HIGH SCHOOL NORTH: Three-time IHSAA State Championships Qualifier...2017 IHSAA State Championships Runner-Up in shot put and Third-Place Medalist in discus...helped lead team to ninth place finish in the state in 2017...2016 IHSAA State Championships Third-Place Medalist in shot put...named the Herald Times and BHSN Field Athlete of the Year as a freshman...also played three seasons of basketball and football, receiving First-Team All-Conference honors on the gridiron in 2016...named a Conference Indiana Scholar-Athlete on multiple occasions...Academic Excellence Award recipient...named a South Central Indiana Leader of Tomorrow.

PERSONAL: Born 09/04/1998...son of David and Christine Calvin, who both attended ISU...has one sister, Brooke, who is a collegiate swimmer at St. Cloud State University...father, David, was also a collegiate athlete, playing football at Rock Valley College before coming to ISU...plans to major in exercise science to become a strength and conditioning coach one day.
