2022-2023 OUTDOOR (Sr.) Competed in five meets during the outdoor season where he finished second as a member of the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:12.68 at the Joe Walker Invitational...Placed third as a member of the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:16.19 and set a personal-best in the 400m with a time of 48.88...Competed at the 2023 MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the 400m with a time of 48.95.

2022-2023 INDOOR (Sr.) Competed in five meets during the indoor season where he finished third in the 600m with  a time of 1:20.60 at the Blue Demon Holiday Invite...Finished second at the Coughlan-Malloy Cup in the 400m with a time of 50.47...At the Hoosier Hills he came in third in the 600m with a time of 1:20.92.

2021-2022 OUTDOOR (Jr.) Did not compete

2021-2022 INDOOR (Jr.) Raced in five meets during the indoor campaign, including the MVC Indoor Championships where he was a part of the first-place distance medley relay squad and placed sixth in the 400-meter dash...Ran a personal-best at the John Coughlan Invite in the 1000 clocking a 2:32.83... Recorded another personal-best in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:19.45 at the Meyo Invitational.

2020-21 OUTDOOR (So.): Raced at three meets during the 2021 outdoor campaign...Ran a personal-best time of 1:53.29 in the 800-meter run to place third at the Redbird Invite...Member of the first-place finishing 4x400-meter relay team that combined for a time of 3:18.44 at the Redbird Invite...Ran a season-best time of 49.53 seconds in the 400-meter run at the Pacesetter Sports Invite.

2020-21 INDOOR (Jr.): Competed at the EIU Friday Night Special and the MVC Indoor Championships as a junior...Placed second in the 400-meter dash at EIU, clocking in at 51.59 seconds...Earned All-Valley honors as a member of ISU's MVC runner-up 4x400-meter relay team that finished with a combined time of 3:18.20 at the MVC Championships...Also helped the distance medley relay team to a fourth-place finish at the Valley Championships, combining for a time of 10:13.76. 

2019-20 OUTDOOR (So.): Canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-20 INDOOR (So.): Raced at seven meets during his sophomore indoor campaign...Opened the season helping the 4x400-meter relay to a first-place finish with a combined time of 3:23.93 and placing third in the 600m with a time of 1:24.55 at the EIU Early Bird...Finished second in the 600m at the Coughlan-Malloy Cup, clocking in at 1:23.68...Ran a season-best 800m time of 1:53.62 at the Iowa State Classic...Won the 800m at the EIU Friday Night Special with a time of 1:57.14...Competed in the 800m, 4x400-meter relay and distance medley relay at the MVC Indoor Championships...Earned All-Valley honors in the DMR, helping the team to a second-place finish with a combined time of 10:08.10.

2018-19 OUTDOOR (Fr.): Competed in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 1:54.82 and helped the 4x400-meter relay to a second-place finish, earning the second All-MVC honor of his career at the MVC Outdoor Championships (5/10-12)...Finished 10th in the 800 with a time of 1:55.23 at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic (5/3)...Ran to an eighth-place finish in the 800 and helped the 4x400 to a third-place finish with a combined time of 3:13.77 at the Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational (4/26-27)...A member of the first-place finishing 4x400 and finished fourth in the 400 with a time of 50.16 seconds at the Pacesetter Sports Invitational (4/19-20)...Competed in the 400 and as a member of the 4x400-meter relay and DMR at the Tennessee Relays (4/11)...Recorded a personal-best time of 1:53.47 in the 800 to finish fourth and helped the 4x400-meter relay to a first-place finish with a combined time of 3:18.42 at the Redbird Invitational (4/6)...Opened the season at the Ole Miss Classic (3/30), competing in the 800 and the 4x400-meter relay.

2018-19 INDOOR (Fr.): Crowned MVC Champion as a member of the DMR that clocked in with a winning time of 9:57.06 and competed in the 800 at the MVC Indoor Championships (2/23-24)...Finished third in the 800 at the Badger Red & White Classic (2/15), clocking in at 1:55.11...Recorded a personal-best time of 49.12 seconds in the 400-meter dash at the Music City Challenge (2/8-9)...Helped the 4x400 and the DMR to third-place finishes at the Meyo Invitational (2/1-2)...A member of the winning 4x400 that clocked in with a combined time of 3:19.10 and competed in the 800, placing fourth with a time of 1:55.64 at the Illini Invitational (1/25-26)...Helped the 4x400 to a winning time of 3:15.18 and finished fifth in the 800 with a time of 1:57.77 at the Notre Dame Invitational (1/19)...Opened the season with wins in the 600 with a time of 1:22.53 and the 4x400 with a combined time of 3:22.06 at the Coughlan-Malloy Cup (1/12).

GENESEO HIGH SCHOOL: 2018 IHSA Class 2A State Track & Field 400-meter Champion...also placed fourth in the 800-meter at the 2018 IHSA 2A State Finals...crowned the conference and sectional champion in both the 400-meter and 800-meter in 2018...helped school's 4x400-meter relay squad to an IHSA State Championship in 2017...also ran a leg on Geneseo's 4x800-meter relay team that placed second at the state finals in 2016 and 2017...team was the IHSA Class 2A Runner-Up in 2016...eight-time IHSA Class 2A State Track & Field Championship qualifier...2018 Illinois Top Times 800-meter runner-up...holds school records in the 400-meter (48.49), 800-meter (1:54.66), 4x400-meter relay (3:21.27), and 4x800-meter relay (7:56.33)...was also a member of Geneseo's football team, earning All-Conference accolades his senior year...Honor Roll student.

PERSONAL: Born April 5, 2000, in Peoria, Illinois...son of Jodi Thomas and the late Jason Swartzendruber...has one sibling, Logan...uncle, Bill Thommen, played basketball at Eastern Illinois...plans to major in business.
