Indoor: Captured his personal-best at the Titan Open in 60-meter dash with a time of 7.05 earning second place…at the EIU Early Bird clocked a time of 7.11…earned a time of 7.13 at the Terre Haute…at the EIU John Craft Invite clocked a time of 7.16…captured a 7.05 at the Meyo Invitational.. at the GVSU Big Meet earned a time of 7.06…competed in the 200 meter dash at the GVSU Big Meet with a time of 22.68…competed in the long jump at the Terre Haute earned third place with a mark of 6.60 meters (21-08.00)…at the EIU John Craft Invited recorded a mark of 6.51 meters (21-04.25)…captured second place at the Titan Open with a mark of 6.93 meters (22-09.00)…earned a mark of 6.73 meters (22-01.00) at the GVSU Big Meet where he placed second…at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships recorded a mark of 7.03 meters (23-00.75) placing tenth overall.

Outdoor: Captured his personal-best in the 100-meter with a clocked time of 10.92 at the Redbird Invite where he placed third…competed in the 100 at the Lenny Lyles where he placed fifth with a time of 11.03…at the Big Blue Classic clocked a time of 11.18…earned a time of 10.99 at the Illinois Twilight…competed in the 200-meter at the Redbird where he clocked a time of 21.72 and placed fifth…competed in the long jump…captured third place at the Illinois Twilight with a recorded mark of 6.83m (22-05)…at the Wisconsin Open record a mark of 6.57m (21-06.75) and placed third…at the Lenny Lyles placed second with a mark of 6.74m (22-01.50)…at the Redbird Invite recorded a mark of 6.75m (22-01.75) and placed fourth…competed in the 4 x 100 at the Big Blue Classic where the team placed third with clocked a time of 41.14…matched that time at the Drake Relays…at the Redbird recorded a time of 40.91 where the team placed first. 

2013-14

Indoor: Finished the season with a personal-best time of 7.12 in the 60-meter dash at the Keck Invitational, placing sixth overall … leaped to a personal-best mark of 6.62 meters (21-08.75) in the long jump at the Notre Dame Invitational to finish 10th overall … closed the season with a mark of 6.60m (21-08.00) in the long jump.

Outdoor: Clocked a personal-best 100-meter time of 10.94 at the lone Redbird home meet of the season to finish fifth … posted a 100m time of 11.03 at Ohio State’s Jesse Owens Classic … ran to a personal-best 200m time of 22.77 at the Big Blue Invite … leaped to a personal-best mark of 6.49 meters (21-03.50) at the Big Blue Invite to finish 10th overall.

Lincoln College: NJCAA All-American honors for an eighth-place finish in the long jump...2012 regional champion in the 4 X 100-meter relay...2013 national qualifier in the 4 X 100-meter relay andlong jump...Prior to Lincoln College, Hartzell was named Athlete of the Year at Thomas Jefferson High School...Received first-team All-Conference honors as a junior and senior...Indoor conference champion in the long jump and 200-meter run...Two-time state qualifier in the 4 X 200-meter relay, 55-meter dash and long jump.
