Carter Mumm joined the Redbird women’s basketball program as a graduate manager in 2023 after spending one season at Iowa State, returning to Normal after being a graduate manager for the Redbirds in 2021-22.

With the Cyclones, Mumm was responsible for assisting the Cyclones staff with video editing, scouting and player development. Prior to Ames, Mumm spent the 2021-22 season as a graduate manager for the Illinois State women's basketball team, helping the Redbirds to the 2022 Missouri Valley Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

With the Redbirds, Mumm assisted the coaches with drills and practice plans, while helping run individual workouts for athletes before and after practice. 

Mumm is a 2021 graduate of Iowa State. During his undergraduate years in Ames, Mumm served as a student manager for the Iowa State women's basketball team. Mumm assisted with drills, practice and individual workouts, while also doing the scorebook on the road. Mumm has also served as a coach for All-Iowa Attack, where he serves as a mentor and coach during the spring and summer for eight teams.
