Played in 23 games, averaging 4.9 minutes per game... Made Redbird debut at No. 18/16 Arizona State (11/11)... Scored first career point on a free throw in a win over Valparaiso (11/19)... Manufactured best game of the season at NIU (11/26) when she came off the bench to produce season highs in points (15), field goals (6), 3-point field goals (2), rebounds (4), assists (3), steals (1), blocks (1) and minutes (29)... Finished the season with 40 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and two steals, while shooting 44.4 percent (16-of-36) from the field, including 4-of-13 (30.8) from behind the arc... Member of the AFNI Honor Roll.

High School
Was a four-year varsity starter and team captain for Annawan High School in Annawan, Illinois… School leader in points (1,711), assists (452), free throws and minutes while grabbing 769 career rebounds and producing 24 career double-doubles… Never lost a conference game and finished with a four-year record of 121-16, a Class 1A state title in 2014 and a Class 1A third-place finish in 2013… As a senior, named Associated Press Class 1A First Team All-State, Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Class 1A/2A First Team All-State, Champaign News-Gazette Honorable Mention All-State, Chicago Tribune All-State Special Mention (Top-50), First Team All-West Central Illinois All-Area, Moline Dispatch/Rock Island Argus Player of the Year, First Team All-Lincoln Trail Conference and Academic All-LTC, after averaging 19.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 5.0 steals and 2.0  blocks per game en route to leading the team to a fourth consecutive conference championship and a trip to the sectional finals… As a junior, named Associated Press Class 1A Second Team All-State, IBCA Class 1A/2A Third Team All-State, Moline Dispatch/Rock Island Argus All-Area All-Star Team, Second Team All-West Central Illinois All-Area and First Team All-LTC, after averaging 16.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.5 steals per game, as the team advanced to the super sectional… Averaged 13.0 points per game as a sophomore (state championship season) and 10.0 points per game as a freshman while being named Second Team All-LTC and Second Team All-Area… Also a two-year varsity starter on the softball team as a freshman and sophomore… Two-time member of the High Honor Roll as a junior and senior.

Daughter of Ted and Val VanHyfte… Born Sept. 15, 1997… Has an older sister, Celina, who plays basketball for Southern Illinois, a younger sister, Jayde, and a brother, Drake… Father, Ted, played basketball at Wake Forest, and mother, Val, played basketball at Bradley… Played AAU basketball for the Illinois Elite and won a state title… Majoring in molecular cell biology.
