2024-25 (Freshman)


Was named the MVC Freshman of the Year following a record-breaking season ... Was also named First Team All-MVC, and to the MVC All-Tournament Team ... Has the two lowest tournament scores by an ISU freshman in program history, and five of the nine lowest tournament scores by a freshman in ISU women's golf history ... Holds the school freshman season records for rounds at or under par (14), tied for top-10 finishes (4), and lowest stroke average (73.85) ... Was third on the team in stroke average, with the second-most rounds at or under par on the squad ... Her 68's at the Rio Verde Invitational and at the Boilermaker Spring Classic were tied for the third-lowest single-round scores on the team ... Won medalist honors at the Boilermaker Spring Classic with a three-round 209, tied for the second-lowest tournament score in program history ... The 14 rounds at or under par is the second-most in a season in school history, while her stroke average is the fourth-lowest in Redbird golf history ... Started her career with a sixth-place finish at the Redbird Invitational with rounds of 71, 74, and 72 as her 217 (+1) put her inside the top-10 ... Also had top-10 finishes at the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational (t-3rd), and the MVC Championship (t-4th) ... Named MVC Golfer of the Week following her tournament win at Purdue ... Her season scoring average is the seventh lowest in the history of the MVC

PRIOR TO ILLINOIS STATE


Fennell was a four-time OK Red Conference Champion at East Kentwood High School, and was Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Regional Champion in 2021 and 2023. She was a four-time individual state qualifier, and finished in the top-10 every year, including this fall when she won the state title with a four-under tournament score of 140. Fennell was named First Team All-State in 2020 and 2021 and was First Team All-State Super Team in 2022 and 2023. In 2022 she was the individual state runner-up and tied for seventh as a sophomore and finished fourth during her freshman season. In her junior golfing career, she has 53 total tournament wins, including three Golf Association of Michigan Championships. She placed first at the 2022 Notah Begay Indiana Regional Championship with a three-under 141, qualifying for the Girls National Championship where she finished 16th. In 2022 she finished 31st in the Golf Association of Michigan's 31st annual Women's Championship, and this past summer placed 11th at the 2023 Illinois Women's Open. She is qualified – along with incoming Redbird golfer Jessica Jolly – to compete at the 2024 USGA Women's Four Ball Championship to be played in May at Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio.
