Appeared in all seven meets for the Redbirds including the MVC Conference Championship...All-MVC First Team Honors..... recorded six season bests in all three of her events at the MVC Championships (100y-back, 56.74), (200y-back, 2:01.06) and (2:07.74)....took second in the 200-yard back against Indiana State (2:06.02), placed first against Ohio in the 200-yard back (2:04.99, season best)... Purdue (season best, 2:02.46)... placed first at UNI (2:06.96)

Senior Year (2023-2024)

CSC Academic All District Team Selection, MVC All District Team... Competed in all five meets for the Redbirds including the MVC Conference Championship... fourth place finish (200 Back, 2:00.44)...Recorded three top-ten finishes in the 100 yard Backstroke, 200 yard Backstroke (Prelims) and 200 yard back stroke at MVC Championships... Took first place in the 200 Yard Backstroke on Feb. 2, 2024  at Indiana State University.

Junior Year (2022-2023)

MVC Scholar Athlete team selection...CSC Academic All-District honoree...Set a 200 Back school record of 2:00.16 at the Valley Championships en route to All-MVC Honorable mention selection...Helped Illinois State to a 400 Medley Relay school record...Turned in personal bests in the 100 Back (56.56), 200 Back (2:00.16) and 200 Fly (2:04.74) at the Valley Championships...50 Back season best of 27.23 at the Valley Championships...Ranks 3rd in program history in the 100 Back (55.94) and 10th in the 200 Fly (2:04.74). 

Sophomore Year (2021-22)

Competed in all eight meets for the Redbirds, including the MVC Championships and the CSCAA National Invitational Championship ... Earned All-MVC Honorable Mention honors in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:02.25 ... Swam a personal-best time of 56.99 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke in the finals at the MVC Championships ... Clocked her fastest time ever in the 200-yard backstroke at the Purdue Invite, posting the 12th-fastest time overall at 2:01.42 ... Member of the 400-yard medley relay team that broke a 20-year-old Horton Pool record, finishing with a combined time of 3:50.91 at the Dual vs. UNI ... Finished in the top-five on 10 occasions in individual events this season.

Freshman Year (2020-21)

Competed in all five meets for the Redbirds … Turned in eight top-three finishes, including a pair of wins against Valparaiso and Little Rock in her respective individual events … Made her collegiate debut in a win over Valpo, finishing with a season-best time of 59.99 in the 100-yard backstroke …. Turned in a season-best time of 2:05.93 in a tri-meet at SIU … Posted a pair of season-best times in the 200-yard backstroke (2:02.67) and 100-yard butterfly (56.54) at the Valley Championships.

Background: Four-year member of Sun Prairie High School’s swimming team … Named a team captain her senior season … Holds the team record in the 100-yard backstroke … Helped her high school team secure a second-place finish at sectionals and third at state during her junior year … Competed at the ISCA Nationals with her club team for two years … Earned a spot on the National Honors Society, while receiving an academic achievement pin and letter for her success in the classroom.

Personal: Daughter of Todd and Rebecca Carey … Born on January 11 in Madison, Wisconsin … Has two older brothers, Tyler and Zack … Plans to study psychology while attending ISU.
