Ryan McCoy

Ryan McCoy was named the Assistant Swim & Dive Coach in June. McCoy comes to Normal after spending four seasons at Division II Indianapolis where he led the Greyhound Men to two GLVC Conference Championships in 2022 and 2024, the UIndy women won the GLVC in 2023. During his time in Indy, he coached 14 women’s NCAA DII Championships, four men’s NCAA DII Championships and helped develop three Olympic athletes. 

Prior to UIndy, McCoy spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant at Eastern Illinois where he helped the Panthers set eight school records on both the men’s and women’s side, 100 new entries to the all-time top 10 list, the Men’s team consisted of 10 Summit League  All Conference Athletes as well as seven Summit League Academic All Conference honorees (four men and three women).

As an athlete, McCoy graduated from Saint Louis University (2014-2018) after residing in Phoenix, Arizona. At SLU, he was a nine time Atlantic-10 Conference Champion where he holds seven current program records. McCoy was a 2016 Olympic Trials participant in the 200 Meter Freestyle and the 100 Meter butterfly.
