Freshman Year (2020-21)

Competed in all five meets for the Redbirds as a true freshman … Turned in six top-three performances, including four wins in her respective individual events … Earned an All-MVC Honorable Mention nod, finishing fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 1:51.05 … Posted two more season best times in the 50-yard (25.20) and 100-yard (51.72) freestyles at the MVC Championships … Turned in a season best time of 5:05.38 in the 500-yard freestyle event in a tri-meet at SIU.

Background: Spent eight years swimming with her club team, Katy Aquatics, while competing with Seven Lakes High School’s team her junior and senior year … Two-time zones winner with her club team … Helped her high school’s 200-yard freestyle relay team break a school record at the state meet, as the relay placed at the event … Was one of 10 people from her high school to attend the state meet her junior year, competing in the 200-yard freestyle.

Personal: Daughter of Brad and Evelyn Follis … Born on February 12 … Has a twin brother, Brad, and two younger siblings, Christian and Mattie … Plans to major in exercise science while attending ISU.
