Biography

Tanja Hrovatic enters her second year as a graduate assistant with the Illinois State women's tennis program. Hrovatic assisted the Redbirds to their second-straight runner-up finish at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in 2011.

Prior to joining the Redbird coaching staff, Hrovatic played tennis for the Illinois State after transferring from New Orleans. Although she suffered some injuries during her Redbird career, Hrovatic played at the No. 5 position in singles in 2006-07 and No. 2 doubles with Julia Zubkova. In 2007-08, she won the No. 3 doubles title with the help of Carolyne Parent at the StateFarm MVC Championships and was the No. 6 singles title at the State Farm MVC Individual Championships.
