Adam Ries joined the Karin L. Bone Athletics Study Center staff in February of 2024 and currently serves as the director of football academics.

Prior to Illinois State, Adam worked for 13 years as a football coach at the division III level which included stops at University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Illinois Wesleyan University and Knox College.

Adam received his bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and his master’s degree in Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity from Illinois State University.

Adam currently resides in Bloomington, Illinois, with his wife, Rebekah Hoffman.
