Apryl Smith joined the marketing team as a Marketing Coordinator in August 2023.  

Previously, Smith spent two years at Illinois State as a Graduate Assistant Manager for the softball program for the 21-22 and 22-23 seasons. She graduated in May 2023 with a master’s degree in Sport Management. 

Smith previously attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., where she was student manager for the softball team and was part of Student Athletic Board, participating in both activities for all four years at IU. Smith became a director for SAB her final two years. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing and Management with minors in Business, Marketing and Recreational Sport Management.   

Smith, a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., spent four summers working in food and beverage and the ticket office for the Fort Wayne TinCaps, a minor league affiliate of the San Diego Padres, during her undergraduate years.
