Dalton Banks enters his first season as a student volunteer, after spending two seasons as a member of the Redbird basketball squad.

Banks, who was named to the MVC All-Defensive Team in 2024-25, played last season professionally for BC Margveti Tbilisi in the Georgian Superleague.

He played in 68 games with the Redbirds, averaging 9.4 points per game while giving out 262 assists in two seasons with 95 steals - 63 coming in his final season, helping ISU to the Purple CBI Championship. His 63 steals are the third-highest single-season total in school history, and the second-highest ever by a senior. His 144 assists are the 17th-most in a season in program history, and despite only playing two seasons at ISU, his 255 career assists are the 19th-most in a career in Redbird history.

Banks came to ISU after spending three seasons at Southern Illinois, and over his five-year career (including the COVID season) he scored 1,064 points.
