After working as a graduate assistant at Illinois State, Gillian Setty assumed the role of Assistant Director of Events and Facilities in April of 2026.

In that role, Setty is the primary contact for facility scheduling, the primary event manager for volleyball, gymnastics, and IHSA championships hosted at Illinois State University, and assists with facility signage updates and renovations. As a graduate assistant, Setty was the primary event manager for women's soccer, women's basketball, gymnastics, and softball. She was also responsible for student event staff, game day equipment inventory, and assisting with all championships hosted at Illinois State.

Setty earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University, where she majored in Sport Management and minored in Marketing. During her undergraduate career, she held several roles in collegiate and professional athletics, including serving as the Athletic Operations Intern for the University of Toledo. She also worked as the Student Operations Manager for the BGSU Women’s Volleyball team and completed a promotions internship with both the Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye. In addition to her experience in game and event operations, Setty is a certified Junior Olympic Volleyball official, officiating during the winter travel season.

Setty, an Urbana, Ohio, native, is pursuing a Master’s in Sport Management within the Kinesiology and Recreation program and is set to graduate in May of 2027.
