Matt Harbeck joined the Illinois State Athletics Equipment staff in 2001 as an assistant coordinator. He was promoted to his current position, area coordinator for Horton Field House, in 2007.

Harbeck received his bachelor's degree in sports management in 2000 from Judson University. The Decatur, Ill., native spent the summer of 2003 as the clubhouse manager for the Kane County Cougars. Harbeck is responsible for outfitting the men's and women's track and field and cross country teams, as well as the baseball, softball, soccer and gymnastics teams.

Harbeck and his wife, Tanya, reside in Bloomington, Ill.
