Reid Watkins joined Illinois State Athletics as a graduate assistant in the Marketing Department in June 2024. 

Reid oversees marketing efforts for Redbird Soccer, Gymnastics, and Baseball. He serves as the secondary contact for Volleyball and Men’s Basketball while coordinating Reggie’s Kids Club.

In May 2024, Reid graduated from ISU with a degree in journalism. As an undergraduate, he was the sports editor of The Vidette, covering all 19 of ISU’s varsity sports. In his final semester, Reid interned with the Athletic Department’s Marketing team. 

A native of Bloomington, Illinois, Reid is the son of Bob and Charmelle Watkins. He graduated from Normal Community High School in 2020.
