Kate Heyl joined Illinois State in June of 2021 as a graduate assistant in the Athletics Ticket Office working primarily in ticket operations. In January of 2022 she transitioned to a full-time position within the Ticket Office as the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations, and in June of 2022 began her new position as the Director of Ticket Operations. 

Prior to Illinois State, Heyl attended the University of Tennessee where she worked as a student worker and sales associate for four years, and a senior sales associate for one year after graduation. She has also completed work for the Davidson College Athletic Ticket Office and Marketing and Promotions office throughout her high school and college career. 

Heyl, a Davidson, North Carolina native, graduated from Tennessee in May of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sport Management with a concentration in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration. She is pursuing her master’s degree at Illinois State in Sport Management and is set to graduate in May of 2023.
