NORMAL, Ill. -
Five Illinois State track and field competitors were scheduled to compete in the fourth and final day of competition at the Alabama Relays, however due to inclement weather conditions the remainder of the field and relay events were cancelled.
Samantha Springer was entered in the hammer event, while Mark Jackson, Nick Chumbley and Blake Gish were also entered in the throwing events. Olutola Fakehinde was also to contend in the high jump.
The Redbird track and field squad will be back in action on Saturday, March 25 in Carbondale, Ill., for the Saluki Spring Classic.
